The Frosts Brighton Speed Trials is an exciting and fascinating event, where over two hundred cars and motorbikes race down Madeira Drive. Find out more.
Several categories such as road cars, race cars and cars will be competing to win the fastest in their class. The top six run-offs will be the quickest car and bikes, winners.
It’s great fun for the whole family, held annually on a Saturday in early September.
Opening Times
If you’re a competitor with a trailer, it’s recommended you turn up early around 7 am. You’ll need to get unloaded, singing on, fitting timing strut and get your car into its rightful place. Official practice starts at 8:45 am. The public can get through the gates from 8 am.
· 7:30 am – Signing on
· 8:45 am – Practice
· 11:30 am – 1st Timed Runs
· 1 pm – 1:50 pm – Lunch Break
· 2 pm – Times Runs continue
· 6 pm – Finish
Prices
Getting into the paddock costs £15 ( or £12 in advance), it includes a free event programme. You’ll be able to walk around the paddock and see all the fantastic cars and motorbikes. Children under 14, accompanied by a paying adult get in for free!
If you would like to join as a competitor and race your car or motorbike, you’ll need a NAT A licence. More information can be found here:

Location
The Speed Trials run along Madeira Drive, and it starts at Brighton Pier.
Parking
The nearest large NCP is in West Street, under Churchill Square, and daily price is around £22-£32 per day.
