Description

Journey through the heart of English wine country on a guided day trip from Brighton. Travel aboard a 1960's London Routemaster double-decker bus through the scenic Sussex countryside on your way to visit two award-winning vineyards. Enjoy a tutored wine tasting at both wineries and savour a delicious, homemade lunch included with your tour. Meet your Great British Wine Tours guide near Brighton Railway Station and step onto a vintage Big Red London Bus, complete with conductor and ticket machine, to travel to the first of two vineyards. Be greeted by the vineyard manager and embark on an expertly guided tour of the vineyard and winery. They'll tell you all about how they grow grapes and produce wines in England. Then you'll have a chance to taste their award-winning wines as they talk you through the various tasting notes. Next, it's time for a vineyard lunch. Sit down to a meal showcasing the best seasonal produce that Sussex has to offer, all washed down with a glass of Sussex wine. There is plenty of time for photos in the vines and also shopping at the cellar door for the chance to take home your favourite wine! After lunch, make your way back onto the bus for the short journey to the second vineyard. Here, you'll experience another guided wine tasting with the winery host. There is free time to explore the vineyard, the cellar door shop, or to simply sit back and relax and enjoy the surroundings of the beautiful South Downs. Finally, hop back aboard the iconic vintage London bus for the return journey to Brighton, where your wine tour comes to an end.
