Description
The tour begins outside the Unitarian Church on New Road in Brighton, where you will receive a briefing, meet other participants, and be provided with a bike and optional helmet. The route includes stops at notable sites such as:
- The Royal Pavilion and its gardens
- East Street and Quadrophenia Alley
- The Palace Pier, a Victorian-era landmark
- Volks Electric Railway, the oldest operational electric railway
- Madeira Drive cycle path
- Brighton Marina
- Undercliff Path, a coastal route with towering white cliffs
- Rottingdean village, known for its smuggling history and as the home of Rudyard Kipling
At Rottingdean, you can pause for refreshments at local seafront pubs and cafes or explore the village, including Rudyard Kipling’s Garden. The tour returns to Brighton via the Undercliff Path and 'The Lanes' before ending back at New Road.
