Eastbourne Beachy Head Marathon
The Eastbourne Beachy Head Marathon is formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon and is one of the biggest off-road marathons in the UK. Runners, joggers or walkers looking to get fit can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of South Downs and the challenging route. The Marathon is 26.2 miles longs, and it includes 300 steps and 14 gates. It passes Jevington, Alfriston, Litlington, Friston Forest, the Cuckmere Valley and Seven Sisters. It also includes Birling Gap and Beachy Head. Thousands of runners from around the world will come to join this Marathon and challenge themselves. The Marathon starts at 9 am.
10k Run
The 10K run is for the runner who wishes a shorter distance or if it’s your first run or jog. It’s a great way to raise money for your charity or achieve a personal fitness challenge. It starts from the same point as the Marathon, and it continues along the South Downs to Belle Tout Lighthouse. Then it heads back along the stunning coastal route. It ends the start/finish line. The 10k run starts at 10 am.
Entry
The price to join Marathon is £60, and the price to enter the 10k run is £35. Entry will close on 18 October 2019 or when the category becomes full.
Parking is available on the seafront at the Bede’s School.
