Training
Kayaking courses are available from beginner to advance level.
Kids Only Kayaking
The course is created for children between 8 – 15 years old, a 2-hour fun experience and exercise on the River Adur. Children will learn the basics of paddling and controlling the boat, safety and loads of fun.
Intro into Paddlesport
A 2-hour course designed as an introduction to Paddlesport (kayaking, canoe, sit-on-top, or stand up paddleboard). You will learn the fundamental skills of paddling such as theory & safety consideration, equipment, basic paddling – forwards & backwards, turning, journeying, your next step & session syllabus.
Intro to SUP Boarding
Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is a very popular water sport that is very easy to learn. You will learn as theory & safety consideration, equipment, basic paddling – forwards & backwards, turning, journeying and your next step.
BC Paddle Discover Award
It’s nationally recognised award which is delivered over a one day course (6 hours). You will learn all fundamental skills of paddling with emphasis to learn correct, safe practice and enjoyment.
BC Paddle Explore Award
This is a bespoke course to match your requirements to enable you to paddle independently.

Experiences
The Kayak Coach also offers many canoe and kayak trips on the rivers in Sussex & Kent, including the Cuckmere, Adur, Ouse & Medway with expert guides along with boats & equipment you might need.
Kayak Hire
If you would like to hire a kayak, you can choose from sit-on-tops, kayaks or open canoes from the banks of the River Adur in West Sussex.
