Description

E-Bike We make our up onto the South Downs at Devils to see the scenic South Downs, then make our way over the Albourne Estate to sample the local wines. Afterwards we climb back up to the top of the Downs via the village Poynings were we take a short break in the local country pub. Wine Tour Our tour starts with a walk around the beautiful 30 acre vineyard where you will learn about many of the challenges and joys of growing grapes for wine in England and the story of Albourne Estate. We then continue to the Winery and Bottle Store to see the equipment used in making our wines with detailed explanations of the processes involved in both still and sparkling wine production providing an insight into what makes our wines so special. Lastly, you will enjoy a guided tasting of four of our wines (a sparkling, two still and our ever-popular English Vermouth) matched with samples of local Sussex cheeses in our converted 400 year old dairy.
